One of them nights.....

It isn't one of those nights though is it.

At present this performance & result is more indictative of our level this season based upon the other games. Bournemouth being the exception to the rule.

Sometimes these results happen, It hasn't been a happy hunting ground for us in the past but we've never been beaten so easily & comprehensively as tonight.

The teams performance as a whole is a big worry but even more concerning imo is the attitude and seemingly lack of desire shown by a number of regular first team players.  Something isn't right, it can't be.  Salah, VVD, Trent, Fabinho honestly look like they simpy don't give a shit.

We've won two out of seven games. One of those in the 98th minute.

Nothing to see.

There is. We're not playing well at all at the moment. We also finished 2nd last season and reached every final possible. The players seem fucked and I'm not surprised, but the people lashing out in all directions probably need some perspective. We also struggled the season after winning the league, just about scraping 4th. These things happen.

This we are poor at moment no doubt for reasons debated endlessly on social media etc but we are trying to find right formula for this team and Jurgen and his team will get right and if it means we struggle this season for us to be stronger long term then so be it.

Our playing style requires players pressing and running like obsessed maniacs. When they don't we're wide open. Maybe the players are too old to give the 110% needed?

There are no maniacs out there anymore. Remember Robbo chasing the Man City defender all the way to the corner flag on the other flank? Someone said he was seen after the match running after the MCity bus on M62. That's what we need now, passion and players chasing the ball like their lives depended on it.

We'll probably see a reaction against Wolves, just like we did against Bournemouth. Won't help much though if they go back to laid back football the next game.

He still does his headless chicken routine yet is constantly caught out now.  He did it last night and ended up in central midfield and against Madrid which cost us the goal.

Sure enough his actions aren't allways tactically sound, can't disagree with that. The main problem for us, however, is that intensity is vital for the way we're playing. When that intensity drops we're shite, and will be until the lads on the field decide it's time to go to work.

They were different times. Klopp was getting the players on board, convincing them that if they ran through walls for him then the rewards will come, and they did. But you can only do that for so long, especially when the main rewards start to dry up. I don't think he can convince those same players to keep running through walls, the motivation is not the same and there's not enough new faces coming through the doors to keep them on their toes and lighten the load.

Klopp has wrung every drop from these players, he's a fucking genius and the best manager in the world, but he can't turn back the hands of time to when these were hungry young players.

This is why you need to refresh the players instead of holding onto them for life.  Sell them before they become worthless/injury prone.

Fine the Yanks havn't given us enough money but we still go out of our way to reward shite and players past their best.

Who would you have sold, when and how much for?

Then we have a problem. We're supposed to chase in packs high up the field. All it takes for the opp. is one man not doing his job, letting one god midfielder with enough time to find a penetrating pass into the great wide open. It happens even when we're good, but then only occasionally. If we're not up top the task it happens all the time.

Klopp's football is great, but needs comittment. Without comittment we're asking to be bum f***

We do have a problem. It's probably why he said last night that he needs to look at playing a different way. That should have perhaps begun from match one this season but we don't know what goes on behind closed doors.  Maybe he thought there was a chance we'd get reinforcements in? Maybe he wasn't quite ready to scrap the whole plan of the last 6 years and wanted to see how it panned out?

Unfortunately he's been left up shit creek without a paddle.

Not worth a hysterical reaction. Some of our passing was sublime.

Thiago and Jota are back.

We won't lose a game between now and the world cup.

Joe Gomez was awful and might just have played his last game for a while. I'm basing this on highlights as I didn't watch the match live - as I feared that it was going to be a bashing.

It was a good night for my streams to die.

We've had a shaky start to the season; we've got the players and manager to turn it around. Time to see what The Best Fans In The World are made of.

So, FSG should sell our best players when they've still got a lot to offer? Is that what we're slagging them for these days?

Not sure if this is one of your sarcastic question or a genuine one....

Adrian (who is nothing but a cheer leader now), Nat, Keita, Ox, Bobby all of them should have been sold in the past at various times. How much for? Fuck knows. Milner should at best be part of the coaching team, not playing team. Sometimes its better to cut the losses than hogging them. Pepe was Arsenal's record signing but he is on loan currently.

Bobby might have looked decent in few games this year but if he was sold 2 years ago we wouldn't have missed him that much. We all love him but that is the reality.

The said players are eating up £30m-£35m in wages every year and offering square root of fuck all right now.
