That’s not a fair comparison though - one is a country at war, the other is a country who has been invaded and is hosting the war.

It's just a fundamental misunderstanding of how wartime effects a country that produces their own munitions vs one that does not.

Wartime has historically low unemployment when folks are making bombs n stuff.

The UK is an example as to what happens to war time "employment" rates when a war ends.

America too, basically dragged the place out of a depression and turned it into Edward Scissorhands country.

Also true....

One has been punished by 12 rounds of sanctions and has low unemployment and high wage rises.

Whilst the other has received 40 billion pounds worth of aid from the USA alone. Approximately 7milliion of its citizens have fled abroad yet still has over 20% unemployment.

As many predicted the sanctions have come back hit us square in the face like a boomerang thrown by a drunk man in a pub carpark. They've also pushed China and the Rushkies closer together.

Meanwhile in the good ol US of A.

Western Europe is not doing much better. The blowing up of the Nord Stream pipeline was a reckless act of environmental and economic sabotage.

On the plus side, the ski resorts in Western Ukraine are witnessing booming trade, as are world arms manufacturers as are the oil firms as are individuals such as Boris Johnson (all above board I'm sure)

What point are you making? Johnson parties hard with KGB types too.

He did indeed. He's quickly moved on to become the King of Ukraine. He's received many awards including the highest possible award the Ukrainians can give. So a bit more than 'a party' He's a hero over there. Although I'm sure he's doing it out of a genuine love for the people.
