People like her have no qualms about being offensive towards people, but as soon as it's turned on them they don't like it at all and come over all "how dare you."

Wonder if she's an Evertonian?

It's a very Tory trait.

Interesting take by the BBC slanting the whole headline and story to Matt Hancock being 'betrayed' and ignoring the actual allegations almost entirely.

yep

no reference to the fact that 10,000s people have died needlessly, just that a journalist has done him over.

Just now, Jennings said:

Will the British public fall for all the cries from the right of "Sue Gray report is invalidated by this appointment"?

Even if it was, which I doubt he would still have to face the hearing.

I get the sense he has lost a lot of support.

No I don't think so, the Scum and Mail will huff and puff but Johnson appointed her.  They themselves called her 'impartial' for months.

It might have been better for the announcement to be made after Johnson got found guilty of misleading the HoC though. He'll try to use it to prejudice that hearing.

Can these cunts not just fuck off and die for the next 100,000 years?  State of this country after 13 years of these wankers 'in charge'.
Can't even fuck off to Europe now.

While you're right, if Oakeshott has broken a NDA she should be finished as a journalist instead of paraded through the streets as a champion of the people.

I think Oakenshott is really, really stupid.

Telegraph are slowly leaking stories from the WhatsApps, it's a slowly deflating balloon.  Also the Telegraph are deciding what is and what isn't worth sharing...

She's saying she's acting in the public interest, and yet she's been asked why she doesn't just release everything all at once for free?  Obviously defends herself by saying it's her business, fine with making money off it.

As has already been noted, she is the long term partner of Richard Tice, and we're a year off a GE, and she isn't a Labour fan nor is the Telegraph.

Shifting sands. And she's absolutely thrown away her political career, I don't know at what point the Telegraph say to her she's done, but it won't escape them that she's no longer going to be privvy to anything, at all, in political circles.  So she's obviously sold the WhatsApps to them for a lot of money.

And the other side to this is her personal views on the pandemic management being OTT, civil liberties blah. Fine, we know her and Tice are sceptics, and she's trying to hang Hancock out to dry on this, but she's backing Hancock into a corner and it'll be interesting to see how he reacts with his own stories soon.

Hancock says she signed an NDA. So if she's sold the messages could she be sued?

Not sure if Hancock or the government would do so as it could drag out the story. So might be a calculated risk to post them, taking the telegraph money and hoping not to get taken to court.

I dont think no one is pretending she is doing it for noble reasons but it destroys any lingering argument that those cunts were following the science.
