I'm usually fairly confident, even when we're 2-0 down, until the 75th minute then my bowels start moving.

My "ohhhh, not quite Redmen but attack these" slowly turns into "FFS, wake the fuck up" and by the 82nd minute I turn into full despondency of "our home record was unsustainable, we were bound to lose eventually, fair enough"

You watch the Leicester game?

1-0 up and 50,000 people are in full blown panic attacks.

I have to first believe we have something to lose. Until we're six or seven games from the end of the season, and still with a chance, I will continue to believe that we are going to finish 9th.

Definitely.

If we were 5 points behind, we could be chasing the European Cup, FA Cup and keeping a great Guardiola side honest with exciting attacking football and having a lot of fun.

Exactly.

The last time we won the league I was three. I can't enjoy this, because for three decades it hasn't ended well.

What I will enjoy is the season after we win the league. We could finish 14th for all I care, but we'll have won the league and from that moment on the enormous rabies infested silverback gorilla on our back will have gone.

Ditto.

That 13/14 season took years off my life.

Although, not as many years as it did to Flanno, Skrtel, Agger and Johnson:

As soon as we concede because for a start no clean sheet and I think it might be one of them days we have 50 shots but can't score. I'm a worrier in general though so it's not exclusive to our games that I go to shit. It's a regular occurrence in my daily life.

That was awful to watch. There are 14 games to go, ffs. That said, I can't blame people for thinking we might bottle it in the biggest moments, as that's pretty much all we've done recently.

We've taken a few liberties with squad strength that have left us stretched, for me Clive.

It makes me far less confident about finishing this off, because we've shown we're content to be hostages to fortune once again.

The football gods adore afflicting a number of our players simultaneously at just the wrong moment for their big season finale.

My arse is officially going in anticipation of another potential instalment of slapstick at our expense.
