Champ, got a decent Soda bread recipe?

The mother in law used to make soda bread (she's from Galway) - it was fucking lovely. I'll try and find out how she did it. In the meantime, Mrs Tash has followed this with decent results

I wouldn't worry about the oats too much though.

I've decided what I was looking for wasn't Soda bread but Soda Farls, fucking love those tasty bastards. Might still give the Soda bread a go aswell at some point too.

Recently been making Plaited loaves using Paul Hollywood's mix, certainly looks the part when it's done.

I do indeed. Do you still want it?

I'm not sure I've made soda farls before but I'm sure I'll have a recipe somewhere

I have 2 to work from already now so unless there is a magic ingredient or a clever technique you need to pass on don't worry, thanks anyway.

By the looks of things soda farls use the same recipe, the main difference is cooking them in a die cast frying pan.

Just need to find a nearby shop selling buttermilk

Buttermilk is very easy to find but if you're ever stuck I find plain yogurt thinned down with a bit of milk works equally well

The recipe I am looking at calls for 500ml of buttermilk. What proportion of yoghurt would you use for that?
