Hi all, after the performance of ourselves at Anfield, never mind the players, I feel a tad ashamed to be a supporter tonight, the abuse some of our own are giving Kenny, the abuse some of our own are giving to the likes of Henderson, Carroll, Spearing etc etc is sickening. I'm fed up with it and I believe it's time to create a change, I've been having a few discussions with KopiteWD about the atmosphere at the ground, we both feel that we as the supporters need to try and either revive RTK or create a new group altogether (which would probably be a good idea). Something along the lines of what Celtic are doing with their 'Green Brigade'.

 

KopiteWD from RAWK has suggested meeting up during the month of April (as many people as possible, would love 50 or so for a first meeting) for a reserve match or possibly a pre season game and bring along banners, flags, scarves, the works and from there try to create some form of recognised group, similar to how Spirit of Shankly are recognised amongst LFC fans, from there, hopefully we can grow in numbers and get some sort of contact going within the club, again similar to what the Green Brigade have with the Celtic board. Only putting this out as a feeler to see what people think as the last RTK thread has seemed to die a quick death.

 

Please do not turn this thread into a Scouser vs OOT debate, it's not what's needed and it's not how we are going to resolve the problems we are suffering at the minute. I tried to get my Kenny/Suarez banner into the Anny Road end but the stewards weren't having it.

The atmosphere is shite, and except the big games, it has been for a long time. Anyone pretending it's cause of the poor form of late is deluding themselves.

They're not really supporters at Anfield these days, anyone trying to actually support the team is more often than not sneered at for trying to start a song or starting the wrong one or singing it too slow or fast.

 

They're all too cool for stuff like creating an atmosphere most of the time. The place where I watch live footy these days puts Anfield to shame quite easily.

Not really sure overseas fans are to blame. Locals are just as bad, if not worse. At least for the 'day trippers' its an occasion and they're probably gonna have a few drinks and get a bit exited about it, not just sit there moaning.

If we had a big screen we could show high-quality swedish porn (lesbian, probably) during some of the more boring moments of the game.

 

Have an 'inflatable party sheep' match where we all inflate them and batter them round before and during the match. Always raises the spirits that one.

 

Failing that, fucking drop the price of ale, get some guys walking round selling it during the game and let people smoke.

Only way it will ever improve is going back to standing or switching to unreserved seating, neither of which is likely unfortunately.
