I'm glad we've got two left backs again anyway. Hopefully Aurelio can stay fit and become first choice again letting Insua gain a bit more experience without being under pressure every week. He seemed like a decent enough prospect the season before last under those conditions.

Nah, we need a top player for first choice in every position. Aurelio just isn't quite there. Might be with some good competition though. Reckon Coentrao will be massive in the future, but i'm only going off the World Cup though, which is very (POBORSKY!) silly of me.

Maybe look at it from the lads perspective, he may not have wanted to move to a whole new country (Italy) considering he left his native Argentina for England. Now the club sold him and he can do nothing about that, however he probably didn't want to go through all of that hassle, and take a sizeable paycut at the same time for something he didn't ask for, or want maybe.

Anyways, he's got a lot of work to do to impress Roy and keep his place in the team. Now Fabio's fit, we still need another LB (I still like the sound of Figueroa), we could have 3 senior left-backs which would be solid.

This is like trying that bit in Harry and the Hendersons where John Lithgow tries to make Harry go back into the forest.

Harry just doesn't get it and wants to stay, so in the end; John has to dish out some tough love and hit the poor guy.

Maybe someone should twat Insua? I volunteer to do this tough task.

I like Insua and felt sorry for him last season. He's still a kid and young players need to be eased in and given a break every now and then when things are not going right for them. Due to Aurellio's horrific fitness record last season he didn't get that, and suffered from it. He looked jaded, stale and it wouldn't have done him any harm to be pulled out the firing line for a month to get back training and working hard to earn the place back.

I have got doubts over his pace and positioning, but equally I like him going forward and I don't think he's half as bad as some are making out on hear. He's still only 21 years of age and has plenty more development time ahead of him. I'm happy to see him stay and providing Fabio stays fit then I think he'll improve alot this season. Certainly don't believe he should be made out as another scapegoat in the Lucas mould because just 12months ago he was being hailed by many on here as the next big thing.

Deffo agree with that, although I don't like the thought of him and Aurelio being our only 2 left backs. If Aurelio's injuries carry on we'd be again left with the lad and would be exposed.
