We'd of been better of keeping him for one final season rather than losing him for that kind of money.

 

I'm going to throw this monitor through the window if we get fucked over with Xabi too.

 

At least we got our money back and a bit more.

 

I'd rather get what we can for him than keep a player who doesn't really want to be here next season.

 

Don't get me fucking started on how on earth we again allowed a players contract to whittle down without doing fuck all about it. We just never seem to learn.

 

We've all played Footy manager and it's not fucking rocket science is it?

The player has to agree still! We are a stepping stone for many spanish players, arbeloa was a nobody and now he is going to Madrid and probably as a squad member to the world cup and will start if lucky.

I just wonder about the fact that Darby didn't go to Asia even though there were question marks over Johnson's fitness who we already knew would be covering LB as well.

That's a fair point. Kelly is a bit more physically ept, so he would be harder to beat in the air/pushed aside.

 

Do you think he'll go a similar route as Carragher for his way into the squad? Right back and then to centerback as he matures?
