I just had my first Panic attack it was pretty bad, felt very uncomfortable and still getting slight attacks now. Been sent home from work. Anyone else had them and have any tips on how to deal with it? It's weird because I'm not a naturally panicky person and I'm no hypochondriac either- it just doesn't seem linked to my mind at all. Dirk, you know much about them?

I read somewhere that those kinds of things very often are chemical, meaning that it doesn't have to do with you having experienced anything bad or being mental in general for it to appear. You can drug it away, or more correctly; drug it into something else and more fun. The backside is always that you will be aware of the fact that you have a problem, and as NR said it can escalate because you worry too much.

Or in other words:

Diiiirk!

Dude that sounds spot on- I'm really not a worrier or the type to freak out and I'm usually quite calm when it happened. Any link would be thoroughly appreciated

without dismissing your topic or anything rem can somebody tell me whats the score with the new Sopranos ? Is it not season seven but season 6 continued, Ive been led to believe it can be downloaded, I think its on Mininova anyway, anyone ??

P.s I had panic attacks for a short while after me mum died, they are like the worst thing ever because there is just no way of quite explaining what you are going through. For me they just eased with time when you begin to except your not a freak or anything and you just have to deal shit like that.
