You know if these royal cunts were really 'for the people' if the queen was really 'such a leader, an inspiration, such a great person' - blah blah fucking blah......Instead of the mountains of flowers being left at buckingham palace, balmoral etc etc and fuck knows how many thousands upon thousands of pounds they have cost and will cost in total......The queen should have asked that upon her death that people do not leave flowers, but instead make a donation to a local foodbank or other community organisation helping the people of the uk during the current crisis.....

They could have even gone one step further easily and announced that there was a website/phone number that they could simply go to or call and donate and the money would be distributed to the neediest places.....

Would have been dead easy - announce it, have it up on the screen during all the endless coverage/have little "ads" for it.....have it up on bbc/sky site etc.....even have a thing like children in need with how much has been raised....

But she/they (the royal family) haven't - why?.....Because she/they don't give a shite.....

They could have easily afforded to match whatever was raised too.

I'm no royalist, me, but I will not be doing with people who see fit to boo any minute's silence or playing of the national anthem in memory of the late queen at the match.  Just don't be small, feeble-minded people.  Just this once.  No one is asking you to respect them.  Just no disrespect, just for once.   We'll all jump back on the republican horse in a couple of weeks, me included.

As much as the flag wavers are coming out pledging their allegiance, there's as many people fed up with the whole thing (many of whom probably weren't that strongly fed up beforehand but have now been pushed over the edge) - not to mention commonwealth countries who are seeing it as an opportunity to separate.

I said earlier on in the thread, the death of the Queen could be the beginning of the end.

Hasn't been updated since the DoE died - almost like they have a lot of stuff to organise at the moment - but:

https://www.royal.uk/floral-tributes

Members of the public may wish to consider making a donation to a charity of their choice, or one of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Patronages in memory of His Royal Highness, instead of leaving floral tributes.

I mean, the words aren't absolutely identical, no.

It is in no way close.

The Queen as i said could have made it (after all she was so for all 'her' people) very clear as an act of 'leadership' upon her death and given this very unique crisis people face - that it was a special request to help the nation at this time.....heavily messaged, heavily promoted etc.

What you dug up as you admit hasn't even been updated since the greek croaked.

It in absoltely no real manner represents anything close to what i was talking about in scope, in profile, in detail, in anything really....there isn't even a link to actually donate via or any specifics.

The Beebs Sarah Smith will be getting a Damehood for her sycophantic drivel this morning.

I'm confused - are we supposed to be reflective, solemn and respectful, or are we supposed to cheer? I'm getting mixed messages from the flag shaggers. It's almost as if they just want to be permanently disappointed by sections of society and to be able to highlight it.
