Ljinders for me.

Every single candidate is a gamble. At least with Ljinders we should see consistency in the links to the academy and the style of play. He'll also know the strengths and weakness in the squad too.

The biggest danger is someone coming In and ripping everything up.

Yeah this is where I'm leaning towards too.

He's a continuity candidate and it means very little changes next season.

Whoever it is, unless we unexpectedly luck into someone who is on Klopp’s level, FSG need to spend a lot more on players than they have done to date.

We’re not going to consistently challenge for the top four under a ‘normal’ manager while spending significantly less than the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham, Newcastle and Aston Villa. If that level of investment persists, we’ll soon have to accept Europa League qualification as our ceiling.

I posted this in the other thread probably a better place to post it as Amorim is being touted as our number one target.

Apparently 10 of the 18 teams in that league are below 300 in club rankings. How much does that prepare a manager!

They'll be hoping to luck out for sure. Anyone would of course, but we won't suddenly start spending so they'll need someone a bit unknown and hope they've unearthed a miracle worker.

Amomrin then? (if Xabi stays at Leverkusen and Bayern don't get in there first).

Aye, but any of those 10 would beat Everton over two legs

With the right players and structure and a continuation of buying the right players surely it's a hard thing to fuck up if you know how to organise a side. I cant believe it's rare special intellects that can only manage football teams. The vast majority of it is the right players. We don't need a genius we need someone capable and for him to be surrounded by capable people.

It's not, but that is the least of the job.

Don't kid yourself, very few fellas can lead the biggest sides in the world - even those that have the hammer (see United, PSG, Bayern).

Fewer still could do it with LFC - it is a massive undertaking and we have always been a club led from the top - never a "structure" that plugs someone in.

There problems have been Ego. They wanted tye big players must be seen to having the best while others where smarter behind the scenes

PSG seem to be changing tact and going for young French talent over the galactico approach. United behind the scenes are a joke most managers they've had since Ferguson have spoken about how dysfunctional it is. No idea about Bayern they've won 10 titles in a row with multiple managers.
