This seems to be the line being put out on the sly by CCHQ, the Tories have gone from blaming the country's economic ills on the last Labour government, one that lost power 12 years ago, to blaming them on a Labour government that's likely two years away from even being formed.

One for the working class Tory supporters on here - ever get the feeling you've been cheated?

There really is a fucking lot of really vile, really fucking warped pieces of rat shit in and around and supporting the fucking tory party.

That piece is so dripping in what makes them such vermin....

They're just following the same type of batshit stuff trump did. The thing is, firstly it's not new, and secondly I don't think our media are that inept.

Definite off-the-record messaging going on here...

This morning the official line taken by their propaganda rags seemed to be to take the Comical Ali approach, it's all dandy, nothing to see here guv, now move along sort of thing. A day's a long time in politics with this mob so who knows what tack they'll try tomorrow - except to say that it wont be to blame the government.

I note that The Times wasn't pulling its punches. On the whole it's been pretty scathing of the Tories for a while now, at least relatively speaking. I wouldn't be surprised to see them backing Labour at the next election.

Chris Philp is a fucking piece of shit. Mick Lynch tore him another arsehole on telly the other week. And he should be asked to explain why he can't spell his own surname properly. The Cunt.

Maybe after all the goodwill shown to them by the British public, the Royal Family will put their hand in their pocket to help out, they're worth a few £billion.

No, I can't keep a straight face typing that out.

Yeah good luck finding "efficiencies" from money starved public services with 10% inflation

Just about everything has been cut too far to work properly: if you want public services to be more efficient than they are now, it will cost more money.

Good point, why can't they help out for once?  It's benefits they're looking to slash.

Good for Pippa to acknowledge the local journos. It was only local journalists that asked Johnson any meaningful searching questions on the last election campaign, as with the boy on the floor at that  Nottingham hospital. The national Westminster journalists go easy.
