I’m pretty sure James Milner played for England U21s until he was about 30, anything is debatable.

Yeah it basically came down to Silva / Rakitic + another who has not been picked yet so remains nameless for my 2 last picks. In the end I thought best to take one halcyon year of Silva then hold Marco Asensio in reserve for the final 2 seasons, so had to skirt Rakitic. Mid 4 of KDB/Brozovic/Silva/Fernandinho. A lot of years in those legs so we'll see how it plays out.

Oh that's definitely what screwed it, I shat it and reverted to my traditional DM-MC-MC midfield, but when I picked him I had an MC-MC-AM formation in mind.

 

I think looking at the attacks around the league and the amount of pace I had I went for a deeper lineup.

Yeah I suspect the game is very formation-sensitive, such are the fine margins between squads. The upper & lower end of the bands on squads selected are likely very small, so setup becomes important.
