I just saw it was her birthday & have been listening to her a lot recently (mid to late 70s stuff) so decided to start a thread.

When I was 18/19 I worked in a record shop and it was a shitfest of drug addled madness, but the nicest moments always were when Hippy Jim rocked up to work, about three hours late, straight from the club and stuck ‘Blue’ on to help him ride out the last of any drugs that were still in his system. He’d then sit in the back room drinking coffee all day and doing fuckall. 

 

Always makes me happy whenever I hear it.

I've never listened to Blue to be honest, I started with Court & Spark & went forward from there. I'll need to go back a bit when I stop playing the albums I've bought.

Like Joni, takes some time to appreciate it. She tragically suffered from crime and drug addiction. Amazing singer.
