Im worried. Yes Pogba was expensive but United had a good keeper- they've spent less than £200m (what was the TV money?) on a centre back, two midfielders and a centre forward.

 

I sometimes wonder why football managers make this look so complicated. For 200m you can utterly transform your team in the areas needed.

 

I can see this being one of those season, given we've seemingly decided to bank on the fitness of Sturridge, where we have a collection of good footballers but no system and games where we have wingers playing as forwards and on occasions no forwards playing at all

I think it was 3-1, mate, because I remember having a bit of a half-hearted row with the fella who sits by me because I seen my arse when they scored even though it was obvious it was just a consolation. It was doing my head in that we were letting in soft goals even though we were dicking teams, because I remember saying to him that it's a poor habit to get into and highlights you switching off in a game.

 

Turned out to be one of those 'hate to say I told you so' things that you hope you don't have to ever say.

I only went about a dozen games that season and that was one of them!
