When people who have spent the last year watching Jeremy Hunt attempt to systematically dismantle the NHS and fight the junior doctors tooth and nail over a revised employment contract can somehow convince themselves that the tories will now spend all the money they 'save' from not being EU members on the NHS, I think all we can really do is pity them.  Mainly because culling them would be seen as inhumane.

Knocks me sick this country, and not because of the Brexit bollocks but because of the reaction to it. The working class built this country, literally, and what did they get for it, asbestos poisoning and workless offspring derided as scum and idiots. Nobody stood up for them, nobody cared about their plight, just called them lazy and feckless as Chinese factory workers and eastern european labour were deployed like shock troops by the ruling class. Anyone who swallows this bullshit hook line and sinker might as well have come out of one of Thatcher's social engineering hatcheries.

 

It's 2016.  We can't right the wrongs of the 1980s mate.  This is half the problem, so many people seem to have made this decision as if we're still in 1983, with their focus on a past that is absolutely 100% gone.  The world isn't the same place and no amount of wishing is going to change that.  Unless you think living on a council estate and earning less than £20k a year puts me in the middle classes (and I sure as shit don't) I'm working class, as were my parents.  I work in an office.  A lot of the working class in this country work in call centres, or places like Amazon's warehouses for a business wich is entirely driven by the digital revolution.

 

I'm so fucking tired of reading all this cloth caps and whippets shite like we're suddenly going to redevelop a steel industry and get back into shipbuilding and mining just because we decided to leave the EU.
