Agreed. People keep mentioning the fee but you've got to realise that a lot of raw players are going for hefty sums like that these days, especially if they play for the likes of Benfica or Porto. Yes the £20m fee for Markovic is steep but he has been signed for what he can bring over the next few years rather than what he's delivering at the moment. Time will tell as to whether he proves to be worth it and goes on to develop in the manner that Sterling has.

Shown he has intelligence to make the right runs, has the touch and can pick out a pass.  For me his reluctance to shoot when given the oppurtunity show he hasnt gotten over the nerves of moving to Liverpool.
