Selling Sakho

  1. 1. Would it be a mistake to sell him?

You're making exceedingly hard work of it with this fanciful speculation.  We haven't managed to beat a team above us all season.  We have now.  Gerrard was terrible tonight, but he scored a goal.  Lucas would have been bypassed easily tonight, just as he usually has been this season whenever we play anyone decent.  Henderson and Coutinho were really wasteful and poor tonight, but we won.  Sorry lads.  And Gerrard's tackle wasn't a foul.  The ref incorrectly gave a free kick.

We beat West Ham just a couple of weeks ago, and Swansea, you daft, hapless nonce case.

Well played to the lad.

Mamadou Sakho, the painter! The Liverpool defender volunteers to get involved with a local charity and helps to restore a house

  • France defender Mamadou Sakho chose to help a charity restore a house
  • The Liverpool man spent two hours painting and moving furniture
  • He bought some treats for his co-workers and signed a shirt for them

His form alongside Martin Skrtel and Emre Can has turned Liverpool's defence into one of the meanest in the Premier League since Christmas.

But Mamadou Sakho has shown his softer side by volunteering to help out a local charity in Bootle restore a house.

The France defender exchanged the red of Liverpool's kit for builder's whites as he assisted the charity An Hour For Others with some handiwork, as well as donating a shirt to be auctioned off for the cause.

The Liverpool defender swapped his football kit for white overalls before he started his work

Sakho wrote on a shirt handed to the builders 'Pour (for) A.H.F.D, keep up the good work, Y.N.W.A (You'll Never Walk Alone), Sakho.'

The cause itself looks to see people donate time rather than money to help others out and Sakho was clearly impressed with the sense of community.

He made contact with the charity himself after seeing them on the internet and helped them for a couple of hours, before going to the local shop buy some treats for those who he had helped with the decorating.

Sakho went and bought some treats for the people he had been working with from a nearby shop

Sakho's next appearance for Liverpool could come on Saturday, when his team take on Crystal Palace in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Selhurst Park does not hold fond memories for Liverpool supporters after they squandered a 3-0 lead to draw 3-3 last season, before losing 3-1 in this campaign.

You don't half talk shite.

One of the most noticeable things of late is how we've stopped teams getting at us through the middle. Lucas has played his part in that.

I think he is struggling slightly in a back three as a narrower sort of left back. He tends to drop in very narrow,as an orthodox CB would do and with Moreno playing more as a wing back he is often isolated in possession and therefore put under pressure quickly by the opposition.

I still prefer a back four and think Sakho does too.
