Do you know if it's been on in the UK? Just trying to find which streaming service to catch it on.

It’s previously been on BBC iPlayer but doesn’t seem to be on there at the moment.

Been watching the Civil War on PBS same crowd that did the great Vietnam doc series. Brilliant and fucking brutal at the same time. Had no idea the war was that bad. How the US stayed in one piece after that defies belief. Tens of thousands killed in minutes. 50,000 here 20,000 there. 620,000 dead by cannon and musket. Unreal.

And not a single knock out.

Halfway through season 2 of The Bear and it's becoming a chore, it's boring and difficult to connect with any of the characters. Very overrated.

I thought it was just me. I switched off after four episodes of the first season. Rather watch Kitchen Nightmares.

Watched the latest Jack Ryan, really strange, it's like they pulled the plug half way through the season. Think there was about six episodes with virtually the whole plot and all the reveals crammed into the last two. Shame as I'd enjoyed the others, but this felt all over the place.

The Sixth Commandment. Fantastic drama from the BBC. Great performances and really sensitive portrayals of the victims and their families. Watched all four episodes over the last few days. What an unbelievably evil and creepy cunt Ben Field was, played brilliantly by some actor I’ve never seen before. Timothy Spall is great in this as well.

We've been watching the X Files from the start and it's magnificent. They're such good characters and actors. I really miss self-contained episodes of drama too, 45 minutes - no 'season long plot arcs' being dragged out and padded to fuck with shite scenes. There's no fat on these shows at all.

They're also remarkably forward thinking too. Just watched an episode where a building's AI has been killing people.

"Mulder this kind of learning AI is decades away!"

She was spot on - that was made in 1993.

You could still be talking about now. While there are lots of brilliant shows nowadays it is fair to say that often 12 episodes could easily be condensed into 6 or 8 into 4. All without losing much from the plot. I will also add that their is fuck all of a point to putting sex scenes in modern tv or film given the easy access to so much porn. I never thought I'd say it but I tend to fast forward those scenes as so many are pointless to the plot.

I watched the first one on Tuesday night, it was very good. Looking forward to watching the rest. Horrible story, that Ben Field is one twisted piece of shit.
