Don't know how many of you have heard of them or not but I would avise you to get into them. They are a really unique scandanavian outfit who do the most beautiful ambient music on the planet.

Anyone else on here into them?

Surely you are DT, considering it's either these, Aqua or A-HA for scandanavian musical pride?

Don't mention ABBA they are un-utterably shite.

Never heard of them tbh.

Scandinavian music pride? Gimme a break:-)

There's actually a lot of other good bands on the Scandinavian scene. I have to say though, that I'd be hard pressed to name a Norwegian band (apart from A-HA and that bird with "unforgivable sinner"). Maybe Kurt can help.

I've downloaded half of Ajetis Byrjun loved it, and have ordered it from CD101 on the net.

Where is that Tina Njordenstrom (or summink like that) from, she sing's "Little Star" on the Romeo & Juliet soundtrack?

Really getting into the Hope of the states too, think they are next on my list.

Cheers Longo might well do that, all a matter of cash at the moment.

I've just ordered an Unlke album called "Do androids dream of electric beats" i've heard some of it and it's fucking ace.

After that:

Hope of the states

Elbow's second album

Dogs die in hot cars (only heard one single and loved it!!)

etc etc etc

And i could do with getting a weeked away for the missus' 21st in october. Why didn't i put a tenner on Baros instead of a quid! WHYYYYYYY????

bought the 1st UNKLE album "psyence fiction" - it was a bit disappointing, prefer DJ shadow on his own.

The Elbow album is quality though, very laid back. again thought "asleep at the back" was slightly better.

Not heard any of the others so no idea there !

You need to get involved with "Eye for an Eye" of their second album Never Never Land one of the best tracks ever. Fact...as tom might say.

Organ donor is a class tune by shadow....he is the guy who used to be on gladiators isn't he...i haven't got this one wrong have I??

Hope of the states are going to be very very big, believe me..as are Razorlight.

Norwegian death metal bands are doing well all over the world... Nothing like burning churches, killing members of rivaling bands to promote your albums...

In norway you also have Røyksopp who have done very well, think they even won a major award somewhere...dont remember which. Also Maria Mena, a young 18 year old songwriter chick is doing well in the states at the time... By the way DT...the chick with unforgiveable sinner is called Lene Marlin!... And dont forget Kurt Nilsen...the world idol!...but then again, he only won because of his fabulous first name! :)

We surely cant compete with the Olsen Brothers and Eddie Skoller DT! ;)

Go and listen to some "death metal" then, high priest of rock and roll that you obviously are, Hermes.

And then kill yourself :-)

Oi, Kurt- are all you Norwegians trading in your skies for bicycles now? That fellow is going to do for cycling what Roche (wasn't he born in England?????) did for cycling in Ireland.

btw, cycling is, how you say it, hypergay.

Yeah, Hushovd is doing very well and the papers are going bananas with this! ;)

Cycling is quite gay, and if they adjust their seat into the right angle i guess you could say it`s ultra gay! ;)

Not quite hermes, althought the kinks are probably the most under-rated band in british history ray davies isn't fit to clean the shoes that Thom Yorke wears.

You're are probably right there, since he got shot in the leg in the states he has trouble crouching.
