Nothing to do with JC really but a couple of weeks back on the premiership here , Johnny Giles and Liam Brady where the panellists and after our game showed a clips where they said it summed us and our “style” up …………. It showed a throw in 10 yards from the half way line , JC took it , they stopped the frame and Stephane was 3 yards away from him with NO opposition player in sight but he threw it back to CK who gave it back to him now 15ish yards inside our half and he proceeded to hit it long to EhD to compete in the air for it >the ball broke loose and we lost pocession . They where saying with all that space and midfielder should be come and taking it from …

Reuters - The World Cup seems to have been dealt received a major blow this afternoon amidst reports that it has suffered a broken metatarsal during a warm-up match against a European XI. The World Cup had successfully dodged a sliding tackle by the UEFA Cup, sidestepped a stationary Coppa Italia, bunnyhopped clean past the Copa Del Ray, only to have its foot accidentally trodden on by the European Cup. Organizers are anxiously awaiting the outcome of a scan and it is thought that plans are in place to fly the FA Cup out tonight as a stand-in.

Jurgen Klopp does not want to put too much pressure on this version of Liverpool but is highly impressed with the depth at his disposal. In the trophy laden first phase of Klopp’s tenure, the German dubbed his team as ‘Mentality Monsters’ for their remarkable knack of rolling up their sleeves and responding when the question was put to them by the opposition. It was a label which stuck and undoubtedly played into the psyche of the opposition with the Champions League second leg semi final win against Barcelona in 2019 just one prime example of that. For a large part of last season that trait was absent, and in fact the opposite occurred…

I see this advertised on Facebook and the Official site. This one will be Aldo showing around some group of fans. Should we not be trying to put pressure on the ex-players to refuse to do these kinds of things under the current owners? These players are now happy to have their quotes in the papers of how awful things are but are then happy to go back to the club and take money from C&A. Of course most ex-players will just say they have to make a living and so do it, but maybe the press will pick up on it?

New skyline is the key

With the return of Henchoz to partner Sammi and Didi to sit in front we will have that Manhattan skyline at the back again. This is key to the new shape. Finnan can go forward and will. EHD will terrorise as will Kewell. Stevie G will finally be close enough to complete real killer passes and on the back of this my mum could play up front. Left back will be a place JAR can be effective again. We will be the tight old bastards of the last few seasons. The difference is that we have the remainder of the team with the intention and whit to attack and score. I think this is the basis of optomism. The fear, ... we cannot replace these three right …

My brother and a mate are coming to meet me for the game tomorrow from Cambridgeshire but the lad who was supposed to drive has dropped out. Is anyone coming to the game or anyone that would like to come to the game (as have a spare ticket) that would be able to offer them a lift either both ways or just back? They are willing to get train to the game but there are no trains back there afterwards. If anyone could offer a lift or any advice on how they might be able to get back it would be much appreciated. Obviously petrol money will be paid so anyone travelling on their own could cut their petrol costs.

Alexis Mac Allister could not be happier in the early stages of his Liverpool career and says a major part for that is playing under one of the finest managers in world football today. While success is naturally what managers will be ultimately judged on, one of the keys of Jurgen Klopp is his innate ability to bond the team together. You may be a academy player playing a five minute cameo in a domestic cup fixture, but Klopp will be sure to give you a mention in the post-match press conference and do so in a fashion that would make the youngster feel as important as Mo Salah or Virgil Van Dijk. Likewise, it is one thing signing for a c…

There are a few things I have been wondering about. The Palace game and the Villa game were two of the games I did not but tickets for this season so I have no idea how he club have dealt with the postponed games. Not heard anything about the Burley game and the Chelsea game I was supposed to be over for either, so my question how is the club dealing with the situation? So for next season. I don’t have a season ticket, just two member cards with full credits, so I really wonder how the club will deal with the ticket issue the coming months? My fear is that I will lose my credits and opportunity to buy tickets on …

Luminaries of our youth programme such as Hobbs, Anderson, Hammill, and Guthrie spring to mind. All have moved on and achieved a certain amount of success. Anderson and Guthrie are always in the news. Well you see their names regularly through scoring our aiding the cause with an assist. At present letting any of these lads go does not seem like a mistake. Hammill for me shone brightly the pre-season just gone but he was just being put in the shop window and has subsequently been sold on. Anyway the point about this thread I would like to hear about our players that have moved on. Hopefully they will all be doing well playing their way back up to the prem…

Start today at 2.15 on ESPN. Carry on tomorrow. All from 66 to 02 are in there. Be nice to have neutral opinion and not the been or ITVs. My dad's seen most of them and says they're brilliant. Set the sky+ and get the beers in.
