On topic, “ FUCK SKY,FUCK EVRA, FUCK FERGUSON, FUCK JEFF STELLING” is simply at odds with our traditions as one of the world’s great clubs. “No-one likes us, we don’t care” has been fine for the likes of Leeds United and Millwall, but not Liverpool Football Club.

 

Quite a lot went well yesterday, off the pitch there was no significant violence between the fans,the chanting pretty restrained, on it there were no sending off’s and a handful of unremarkable bookings.

 

I don’t like Man U and come from an era when that hostility was played out between 10.30am to 8pm, starting and ending at Lime St station. But there has been a lot of muddled thinking around all of this.
