Eh, no it doesn't. If you're in war in the battlefield and think your president/prime minister sucks then you still fight the best you can and stick together with the people that can make a difference for you.

To continue on the same lines, a manager is a general. There have been many generals who have refused the orders of dishonest politicians. Usually they are fired, sure, but they've also done what they've thought was the right thing.

I don't think the fans should sit back and relax. I'm just not sure there is any point in the manager starting up a new public fight with them.

And I think it would be naïve to assume that the Yanks would appoint a new manager who would attack them. Maybe why Kenny didn't get the job, as they knew it was a battle they could never win.

The manager needs to pick his fights carefully. As I said above, I'm happy with the way Roy seems to be handling it - letting us know when his strings are being pulled without getting down and dirty about it.

Your second point - I think that's exactly why Kenny didn't get the job.

Can't see why you can't be vocal against the owners and motivate at the same time, any players playing for us that don't react well to life being made uncomfortable for the owners should fuck off. same goes for the fans.

Not sure they would be that bothered really, after all the sale of the club is imminent isn't it? The Yanks would be long gone before Kenny turned his ire on them.............mmm hang on.
