woods 6 to 1 to miss the cut a good bet with all the pressure on him

One of the lads in work has just been telling me that theres a load of crazy bets on Woods for the 1st round. Like Woods to hit a Tree on his 1st drive, is 30/1.

I got 7/1 on Woods to get a blowy in the bunker on the 7th.

I love the Masters though. Best major of the lot for beering in front of a tv in the evening.

I fancy an each way on Els.

Els is around 12/1. He did win at Bay Hill though, so could be worth a shout.

Ernie Els is a good bet I reckon. Won his last two tournaments.

I still fancy a bit of money on Woods to win by 3 shots at 14/1. I had a dream that he would win it so I'm going to stick a bit of money on that. If he does win this, he will establish himself as the greatest sportsman in the last 15 years.

If it's all about the putter, then don't be backing our Rory McIlroy.

He is playing very poor at the minute alright but he did have a very good year in the majors last year for someone so inexperienced to them events. His putting is streaky at best I suppose but what I was trying to imply was that who evers putter happens to be hot on the giving week is in with a serious shot. e.g been Mike Weir when he won a few years he was one of the shortest off the tee but he just happened to have a very good week with the putter. Another example is Jose Maria Olazabal winning there.

Would love to see the big easy finally win at Augusta after coming so close the year Mickelson won his first major.

Having watched his interview at augusta from yesterday he looks very relaxed and with the control on the media at Augusta it will be alot easier on him and anyone playing along side him for the first round. I wouldn't bet against Woods he seems very relaxed and eager to play, his practice partners are saying the same. Roll on thursday I can't wait.

Olazabal always had a great short game, it wasn't a streaky week with him.

Goosen @ 25/1 to win it

Also did Villegas (38/1), Schwartzel (55/1) and Flesch (280/1) on Betfair in the hope that I'll be able to lay them back Saturday or Sunday at much shorter odds.

For a man who has finished Top 6 in the last two Masters, it's nearly insulting to have Flesch at such a big price
