"We are working with the money we have left"

"We found out on April 13th that Xabi's agent had been talking to Madrid"

"Aquilani is a different player to Xabi, plays higher up the pitch, more mobile, has more accuracy in his final pass"

"Can play as second striker, but best position is in front of Mascherano"

He also laughed off the Poulsen link

Also said that apparently, "We will now look for someone to help [Fernando] Torres and [steven] Gerrard." or is Goal making shit up again?

I didn't catch that bit, might have missed it though, or he might have mentioned it in the press briefing

Also worth noting that Purslow sat in on todays conference, next to Rafa

No need in the second comment. An incredibly tedious saga that doesn't need more said about it, but I'm certain that comment will prompt more insuffrable debate about who is to "blame".

He was answering a question, what is he supposed to do?

I'd much rather not get into it but there are ways of avoiding questions( "Xabi is a Madrid player and I'd prefer to focass on my team") where as the quote highlighted smacks of trying to administer blame for this summers saga.

So he dodges the question on to be asked over and over and risk being accused of being evasive or have the usual suspects on here accusing him of hiding something?

He also said that after he found out about this meeting, the idea was to keep the player, but it was impossible and that they parted on good terms

I like the way you decided to write that just how Rafa would speak it

I hope the prick journalists ask Sir Shit 'Em why Ronaldo wanted to leave. Rafa gave an answer to a question that he has answered several times before. I'm sick of this whole fucking Alonso saga: the player is now history and if some of our fans still want to support him then they should write him love letters. make banners and attend Real Madrid games where they can chant his name. If he doesn't wear a Liverpool shirt and it's unlikely he will be playing against us then I couldn't give a flying fuck about Alonso! He wanted to go and he went, so fuck him!

Option B.
