Dear Mr. Kirkland,

I would like to apologise for my comments from a few months ago saying that I preferred Jerzy Dudek over your good self in the Liverpool FC goal.

Having watched your brilliant and very mature performance against Newcastle earlier today I would just like to say that I think you did a wonderful job and that you had no option but to put pressure on the attacking player for that penalty. He went down, but would surely have scored anyway had you not been quickly off the line.

I certainly hold no grudges re that penalty. I think you did a great job today.

Dear Mr. Kirkland, would you also please consider not going to Man City as I would like to have you in the Liverpool goal for the next decade at least.

Please?

Was good to see him claiming crosses yesterday. Have a lot more confidence in Kirkland than Dudek. He's still an OOTer though :tease:

Was Dudek dropped yesterday or was it because he was injured? Official site said he was 'dropped from the squad'

I have to say that although I've only seen the foul for the penalty once, I thought that the position CK took up as the ball was being played was to deep and then he hesitated when he came forward. Otherwise I think he would have got to the ball first. However like I said, I've only seen it once.

That wont last for long before he is coached out of it and told to stay on the line for every corner.........
