If we win the title this year, it will fucking break him.

It will mean he will have to win the title 3 years on the bounce to break our league record.

68 in December and the clock will be ticking.

It will be the sweetest league title ever.

As for respecting him, fuck off.

He's the biggest cunt in football.

Lucky manager in a way too, with us virtually throwing ourselves off a cliff under Souness (whilst struggling to recover from the damage that both Heysel and especially Hillsborough did to us as a club), and them timing their success just right in that it lead to them having a huge financial advantage just as the game rode the crest of a new financial era.

Yesterday's stunt has reminded what an utter twat the fella is.

Using Hillsborough and Heysel as reasons for our decline is a little Everton-esque don't you think? Other clubs worse off than us like Notingham Forest, Norwich, Wimbledon and Luton have a major right to be aggreived over Heysel the European football they missed out on and we had one of our best ever teams only three years after Heysel as well.

If United had the foresight to see the change in the game in the early 90's then it is more fool us that we didn't change with the times as well. I will give Souness one thing he tried to change things for the better but he just changed it too quickly.

Hillsborough ripped the soul out of the club but Hillsborough wasn't to blame for us signing poor players for the next few years and becoming also-rans in the same way Heysel was no excuse for Everton who won the league a full two years after Heysel and the argument their better players at the times left for the ''lure of European football'' is ridiculous. Trevor Steven went to Glasgow Rangers who would get to the 2nd Round of European football at a push. Everton spent millions on shite after Heysel for years which is why they ended up nearly being relegated a few yimes in the 90's.

I think Hillsborough had a large effect on the past 20 years because it caused Kenny to eventually leave. After that the club fell to shit. I'm not saying it was directly Hillsborough. It was a series of catastrophic decisions made at the highest level within the club that caused the decline. But Kenny (until Rafa) was the last truly great manager we had and we never recovered from his departure.

Even using Hillsborough as the reason Kenny left is a little simplistic. I am not denying it played a part but he was being undermined by Noel White at the time as well (Not the first time White did that either as he did a few years ago under Rafa whilst on the board of directors) and maybe he just got a little weary in the end having gone straight into management after a glittering playing career which panned near twenty years. It is very rare for a top player to go straight into management. Most of them take a year or two out the game then start management but Kenny didn't. He even alluded to the fact not so long ago that he would have came back. Moores took over as chairman from White a few months later after Kenny left.

Thats all totally fair. In fact I seem to remember reading a quote where he literally said he wanted to come back within a couple of months but we never made any attempt to bring him back (theres a mistake as well) But I think we can honestly question, if Hillsborough had never happened (RIP the 96), whether Kenny would have left at all. With all the other factors he may just have. But you never know. Imagine at the end of the 89 season 96 brothers and sisters were still with us and we won the league and cup double. None of the pain or heartbreak, none of the lies and slander. Just Liverpool doing what we did best, beating everyone. I think it would have stayed that way for a lot longer than it did. But when you talk about what could have been you'll never know.

He's feeling his age. He's the old dog, lying in the corner, days numbered, snapping at anything that comes too close. He desperately wants that one last title to surpass us, but he can see Ancelotti building a formidable Chelsea team, and with City's money he knows it may only be a matter of time before they appoint a manager who'll use it effectively. He can see the prize slipping away. And that makes him worse.

He has been a great manager for them, nobody can deny it. But the way other managers fawn over him, and the media noshathon that falls over it'self to cater to his every whim makes me want to spew. He has no class whatsoever, and this is the very thing Hodgson as our manager needs to distance himself from. Rafa got it, big time, and I only hope the penny drops soon for Roy.

@DTguardian: Fergie has cancelled Friday's press briefing, apparently angry with coverage of his criticism about Torres in #MUFC defeat of #LFC

Is there a bigger cunt to every grace this earth?

He's banned most of the press anyway. The press should all get together and boycott his conferences. He and his club need them more than they need him.
