That’s how science works mate. Theories are proposed, hypothesis are tested and evidence produced. The default position is sceptical until evidence is tested.

Yeah, I'm certainly open to that possibility. Without going full Rumsfeld, there's plenty of wonder in what we do know. and in the things we know we don't yet know, without even starting on the stuff we don't know we don't know. If you've studied quantum physics at all, or even read books by quantum physicists it quickly becomes apparent that there's a lot we don't understand beyond the point of things we see. Things that are maybe even unknowable to us. Anybody attempting intellectual authority on those things can, in my opinion, do one. There's a lot of room - inside science and out of it - for theories and discussion about these things. Some want to shut that down, for some reason.
