I actually think he's not half bad, Silvestre. Probably past his best and this is I assume why Fergusons letting him go. Still suprising though letting any player go to a rival, I wonder what that undisclosed fee is.

Agreed, or it could be a slap in the face for Silvestre in that GinSoak thinks he's so s.hite he doesn't matter.

 

The Mancs obviously don't rate Silvestre or Arse or both...

Not a bad deal for under £1M. Proven PL player, medium injury prone - so Wenger can't be blamed for going for the younger guns, still, he can rely on him for certain games. Speaks French and English. Probably inspirational for the younger players (something the Arse has been missing) and not too involved in the national team. Utd's loss, really.

Apparently he was on the verge of joining City when Wenger got wind of the deal and stepped in. The report I saw said he's wanted as first choice at centre half with Gallas, which is weird when they've got Toure. The fee is £750k, which I think is very good for an experienced and more than decent defender.
