Stone Island gear

The only cheap clobber that really stands out are cheap TJ Hughes style leather jackets and shit suits.

You can spot a cheap suit and leather a mile away.

Everything else is fair game, I've bought £30 T-shirts in the past and I've bought £5 ones, it's just a case of whatever looks nice isn't it?

Go to Stanley Casino in town, all the Chinese fellas in there wear the cheapest suits possible whilst betting their mortgage on the roulette table! - £45 for a light blue suit with massive shoulderpads. Or that shop by Lime Street that still sells Micheal Jackson Thriller leather.

True about t-shirts, not much difference in the quality - you can buy a decent Polo shirt for 15 quid, not much difference in quality between that and a Ralph Lauren one which costs 65 quid.

To be honest Lacoste trackies have died out fast to be replaced by grey/black Nike/Lowe Alpine trackies as a regulation gear for lizards.

To be fair to Lacoste their stuff is really well made. I've got shirts from the early 90's that still come up looking relatively new in the wash. Same with Paul & Shark.

The likes of Prada/Armani Exchange is just shite. Prada & Armani just license their name out to this stuff anyway. It's not actually made by the fashion houses.

Some lad I know used to go on about his Gucci shoes etc. I tried to explain the above to him and he was incredulous.

Flannels/Ricci apart I wouldnt buy designer gear in any shop in this city cos I don't think anybody else are licensed to sell the stuff. I always laugh when I saw the lizards walking round with loads of Dapper/Script bags. Suckers - 75% of what you've just bought is Blous to fuck.

Next is ok but a lot of their stuff comprises of hooped jumpers or t-shirts which are made to look like you are wearing a white t-shirt underneath. It is where Ashley off Coronation Street buys all his gear. I like Guide of London shirts which are of decent quality and have a decent fitting, they used to sell them at a shop in Cavern Walks which is closed now.

Good thing about Fred Perry and Lacoste Polo shirts is that the style lasts and may never go out of fashion. I bought a dark red Lacoste Polo recently then saw Mr White wearing it in Reservoir Dogs, they do survive fashion wise as the film was made in 1991. You still see some bands from the 80's wearing Fred Perry Polos that are in the shops now.

To be fair I have a couple of Stone Island jumpers and they are really nice. I don't wear them much now simply because if I wear them people will think I'm a footie hooligan which I am obvioulsy not. It fucks me off because I am into my clobber. I like my Paul Smith, Aquascutum, Llyle and Stott, Boss and even a bit of Burberry. But unfortunately some twats like Danny Dyer go out to ruin the brand and it becomes associated with hooliganism. Fuck it though, if I like it, I will wear it. The trick is not to go out all Stone Islanded up. I can't stand cunts who'll wear a Stone Island coat (which is prob fake) with a pair of trackie bottoms. I agree with a lot of posts on here. I would never buy any Prada Gear or any of the "high end" cheap shite Armani gear. It's unjustifiable how they can charge 100 quid for a plain grey prada tee shirt.

Anyone ever been to Cricket?- saw a plain red t-shirt in there with a Quadrophenia style target on the front, dead thin material - £125! - I wouldnt even pay £10 for it!.

I'd only ever go in there to take a shit on the floor and see how long it took the staff to notice.

Clothes shops in town are a nightmare in general, rife with homosexuals and their predictably stupid orange fag-hags.

Topshop + trendies = Fagshop.

I totally agree. No one hates pretty boys as much as me. I would love to round them all up and push them in the sea. "Follow me lads, free hair products in the back of the van". An easier way would be to fire bomb the Stags. Everyone in there is a pretty boy cunt.

TBH, I buy most of my clothes from Topman however I just pick up the normal stuff like jeans and plain hoodies or jumpers and that. I walked into the one in Belfast the other day (for those who don't know the layout the mens bit is downstairs, the girls upstairs) and I stood their looking at the clothes at the front of the section and assumed that they had switched the sections, so went upstairs and found only girls stuff. To my horror the section downstairs was in fact the mens and honestly it was shocking, took a gander at this

I detest them with an unhealthy passion. They all want to stand out yet look the same. Cunts. I really want to set them all on fire.

I went to Negresco on Lark Lane a few months back, the lazy, uppity and aloof waiter who served us wore a top man shirt with a black leather necklace, been on the Wham beds loads, had bright dyed blonde spikey hair and wore a pair of stupid "fashion" glasses that Edgar Davids wouldn't have been seen dead in. He looked like a cross between an umpa lumpa, Gok Wan and a Hollyoaks extra.
