To completely change our midfield late in pre-season and suffer a litany of injuries throughout the season and somehow be top of the table and not in seventh place is a ridiculous achievement.

We’re gonna be shitting ourselves every game now until the end of the season and we need to embrace the fuck out of it. Bollocks to a tedious end to the season like last year, this shit is where it’s at and we may not be getting it next year. Breathe it in, it’s fucking great.

Two kids plucked from the Academy, and our second choice keeper, as mainstays in our backline.

Pretty much Harvey holding the midfield down for a month on his own, including big games, after all the others dropped like flies.

All of the nonsense with the forwards…

Honestly, it’s remarkable.

I dont agree with those saying Mo had a bad game, he was involved in almost everything we created.

There was one attack in the area when he got the ball and shaped up as if to have a shot on his right foot - I mean, you really have to have a genuine threat of doing that in order for it to work! For a player of his dedication to somehow avoid working on his right foot, well, it's astonishing.

Good to see Diaz starting to look the player he was before the Arsenal injury.

Him and Bradley were a rolling ball of chainsaws. The intensity of some of our players is mindblowing. That's the part of Diaz' game you can never criticize.

To be fair to referees in that situation,if they are smiling bias is inferred and if not bias is still inferred. Damned if you will, damned if you won't.

Of course., they could always just look impartial. Just a thought.

If Brighton had scored from the corner when Dunk was two yards offside with his header that earned them the corner it would be worse than the Diaz non-offside at Spurs.

How was it possible for the ref and VAR to miss that?

I think it’s part of the rules. Even if the player is offside, if they allow it to play out and it goes for a corner VAR can’t intervene. It’s happened quite a few times this season.

As Anubis said, I think this is just a really shit loophole where they can hide behind phases of play. It's really shit.

Yes I understand they could not change it after the corner is taken, but how could they give the corner , its certainly a clear and obvious error?

Or did you mean if it goes to a corner they dont care about it being offside?

I didn't notice at the time of Diaz goal but even if he'd have been in an offside position the defender playing the ball nullifies it due to him intentionally playing the ball and it not being an unintentional deflection. At least any impartial official should look at it like this.

VAR only check offside for goals and penalties.

No point appealing for a penalty here. Short of a Brighton player pulling a gun and shooting one of our forwards it’s not happening. And even then it’d be 60/40 against.

They’d find a way to draw the lines to show the bullet missing.
