It’s bizarre and Klopp takes a large slice of blame. He’s the one showing endless loyalty to squad players who’ve persistently let us down and cockblocked new midfielders for years to no avail. Plus that mock-bemused press conference pop he had last summer at anyone suggesting the midfield situation might not be entirely optimal. All very hard to have sympathy for when the chickens come home to roost as predictably as they have. Needless to say, Scrooge McFSG haven’t exactly helped.

So we will buy a midfielder in the summer that we could have bought last summer. Why are we not trying to get him now.

Complete utter shit show. Clueless as is becoming the norm. Living off past success.

Come the end of the season, the apologists will be lapping up nonsense about a lack of CL qualification meaning we have less money available for transfers, even though countless non-entities who never qualify nor make close to as much as us commercially are mysteriously able to spend more year after year.

Absolutely spot on post this is. It's so predictable isn't it. Can't get the players we want due to no CL therefore not enough money coming into the club. This brentford midfield would improve our team hugely.

Or that Arsenal, who have not been in it for years, are spending now. It's almost like they want to stay there and see that you can buy players and stil make profit.

The dog and hedgehog midfield would improve our midfield at the moment.

Out of interest, where did Hendo get concussion from? Must be more physical stuff in training than there is on the pitch.

While we are at it and I am on a rant, how the hell do we keep getting injuries every game and nothing happens in the medical department? Robbo in the week, now Van Dijk. Players cannot run. What the hell is going on. It's every game.

Fuck knows mate. Maybe we’re a few physios light. That joseluich fella fucked off and said a lot would have to change for him to return. The German fella also went back. It feels very disjointed at the club currently. You outwork us, you win. That’s not acceptable.

The set up against us is so fucking obvious

Get amongst the midfield and belt the ball into the flanks and we are fucked

The legs have gone from half of this team, Mo and Virg included. Too many look half arsed and have done so for a while, cant still be some hangover shit from last year. Everyone from the board, management/coaches down to the players are to blame. Lack of long term investment, letting players get into their 30s and running to small a squad with far to many injury prone players in this team.

Reading today how we run a self sustaining process, how the fuck can you do that while letting players run their deals down so you get pennies(Mane) or fuck all (Can,Gini,Ox,Keita,Origi,Milner). They are getting what they deserve this year

3 fast strong midfielders please.

Brentford had one, Norgaard. Been championing him for a while. It’s types like him, caecido, mac Alli steer you need. Those type of lads. Workhorses. Guys that fight like fuck for the ball.

Why wasn't he signed last summer?

Fuck knows, knowing the board they probably didn't want to agree to the structure Sporting wanted and preffered to pay more over a longer deal and let him move to Wolves.

Because we wanted to see if he could cut it in this league. And on evidence so far that’s a not sure. He was shite against united at the weekend.

Exactly, and it's the reason we probably won't sign him this summer either unless he improves.

Well FSG screwed our medical team when they were class.

Surely if you cannot sustain your position in the CL and your team has become one of the oldest in the league that shows that it hasn't been sustainable for quite a while right?

FSG have allowed us to do the absolute bare minimum for the last 3 summers and now it is glaringly obvious.

They have dumbed down expectations such that getting top 4 is now considered a great achievement and sell to buy is "not ideal" but acceptable.

Gillett and Hicks really did us over because prior to them no one would have accepted that approach. Really sad to see
