Hadn't realised that we were so close to Newcastle,  thought they had 3rd sown up .

we’re charging incredibly late, but it’s a funny old game football.

Alison Becker header on the last day to seal 4th. Who knows.

Its time for refs to not stop play when players go down.  This tactical time wasting needs to be stopped.

The new idea of 2 x 30 minutes halves with a stopping clock is interesting

I bunked into that. I met Charlie George on a train when he had become a Derby player and he came over as a very decent bloke.

He broke my 12 year old heart that day, but I’m pleased he came across as decent off the pitch.

Its the only way they'll stop the time wasting if you think thats important, the refs have had the power to do it for years and they wont.

It’s perfectly possible to have a 90 minute game with stopped clocks too.

I play 4 minute games in FIFA and it’s surprisingly long, because of just that-the clock being stopped regularly

Ball in play on average across all premier League games is less than 60 minutes, hence the 2 x 30

Keeping it at 2 x 45 would turn matches into marathon baseball style borefests

Yes it is, and I reckon once the fools going down realise they have nothing to gain, it’ll all fade away.

Its not the time wasting thats the biggest issue as large amounts of added time is being added on.  It is the constant stopping of play deliberately when the opposition team is in the ascendancy and putting on pressure.  It is a deliberate ploy to try and quieten the crowd and break opposition momentum.

I say let the game carry on, maybe let the physio run on to assess the player while the game continues and only stop play for a serious injury.  There should only be treatment of a player on the field of play for the very serious of injuries.  Any player is only a maximum of 20 yards from being able to walk/hobble off to the side lines for treatment of they actually need it. It might also stop the players form being pussies as well

No, we should be dealing with the reason it’s less than 60 minutes, not accepting that it happens.

The useless officials will just make a total bollocks of when clock should stop and what for etc....just be loads of inconsistency and controversy.

This. The refs could snuff this out instantly if they wanted. Maybe their watch could be linked to the main timer and stoppages accounted for in real time. You get the feeling at the moment that they like the breather every now and again.
