I like(ed) Ake, thought he looked great at Bournmouth and wouldn't have minded us looking at him.

Why the fuck would he go there to be 4/5 choice, career purgatory.

Probably thought moving to a big club (in the loosest possible way cos it's Man City) would take him to the next level or money.

I imagine he'd have a chioce of clubs that would be an upgrade and money, well offical money, would be vaguely similar.

If he backed himself to become first choice then fair play, but it's not looking good which is a shame.

It would have been the perfect Lovren replacement with that brain dead bit of defending.

It’s a shame this match means so little, Pep was comfortable giving youth a chance.

Roll on the real thing.  That friendly was a better watch with fans in the ground then most of the shite we sat through last season.

Citeh won’t find it as easy this season. Clubs won’t drop deeper and deeper letting them pass them to death. Opposition supporters will be demanding getting in their faces & pressurise them.

I'm certain that most managers in this league will carry on with a safety first approach in the hope of avoiding a drubbing, no matter how much the fans want their team to be bolder.
