I like Shaqiri. He's not perfect for us but he's a good player and IMO, he's not let us down when we've needed him.

Apart from hardly ever being fit when we've need him, you mean.

Left out yesterday wasn't he?

He's a goner.

Shame because i like him and think he is much closer to fitting in as cover in our front 3 than the other options we have - but clearly his fitness and maybe something else too means that Klopp just does not fancy him at all.

I think the hair transplant may have been a mistake. He’s tried to curry favour with the boss by going down that route. Probably went for it as a tribute to Jurgen. It’s backfired though. It’s possible that Klopp now feels overshadowed by Shaqiri’s transformation. Either way only one winner in this situation so he’ll probably be on his way.

Apparently he picked up a knock in training.

Agreed. I think he’s been quite unfairly treated to be honest. He has had injuries, but that’s not why he’s always overlooked. Much better option than Origi and Ox in that role. Mind bending.

Let’s be honest: He’s nobody’s first, second or even third choice replacement for whatever your preferred midfield trio is, and Jota’s arrival pushes him well down the pecking order up front.

Its all over now, isn’t it? Same goes for Harry Wilson too, sadly.
