Morocco played very well but lacked a cutting edge, which suits France, who tend to sit and rely on quality team play in fits and starts, with their firepower up top doing just enough to see them through.

Should be a decent final. Argentina seem to be hitting form at exactly the right time. Whereas France have the experience of a recent World Cup win, but looked a bit ordinary tonight against the first decent team they’ve faced in the tournament.

As the Qatar World Cup has rightly highlighted the plight of migrant workers in their country, let's also spare a thought for the suffering of migrants on our doorsteps, literally risking death just to live never mind earn a living. Absolutely horrible situation.

Tough one to call, stage-fright happens to all players, and to referees. 

I'm inclined to go for Argentina based on the fan presence, but I'm guessing most seats will be corporates.

The narrative is for Messi to win the world cup and be crowned player of the tournament.  That narrative will be in the referees head.
