Anyone voting for a party that won’t win, doesn’t get their policy. And they are the only party offering that option. Apart from the Greens, who also won’t win.

 

So realistically, people will know that the best chance they have of remaining is to vote Labour and get the 2nd referendum.

 

I’m not suggesting that it will work, politics these days is beyond prediction, but as a policy it makes complete sense. Anyone who can’t see that has a questionable motive.

How am i trolling by stating that i think labours policy is wrong? I suggested they should come out and say stay, that would make them a viable alternative and peoples best chance of staying. I suggested in a reply elsewhere in the thread that Labours policy is a fudge designed to hold on to leave voting northern constituencies. In my opinion it will back fire because, some people do vote on principles not just on who they think will win.

 

It does come across as a tad arrogant and ignorant that someone who doesnt share your views is a thick, disingenuous troll with questionable motives. Though fair play, you did pack a few in.

If you vote Lib Dem for Remain reasons then you are making the same mistake as the students that voted for them to scrap tuition fees.

 

The lib dems will prop up the Tories and end up voting with them to leave the EU at some point.

 

Always remember that just because the Lib dems make something their key policy, it doesn't mean they won't do the complete opposite of it if it means they can get to be in government.

My problem is they wont tell the electorate how they would like the referendum to go in the prior General Election. Its all very wishy washy and designed to fudge it with the electorate for fear of losing northern leave voting seats

It's a democratic Socialist party. Some of its members and supporters want to leave the EU; most want to remain.  The policy agreed today offers something for all of them.
