Got to say that their delusion is their own downfall. We can see this because for a time we revelled in United losing the odd game while our own club needed restructuring and we refused to see it. The big difference was that,Hodgson aside,we were never worse than a top six club at worst(yes,we finished 8th twice but we were still a lure for a good manager) while Everton are potentially relegation fodder. We had room for manoeuvre while Everton have none whatsoever. Promoted clubs in recent years such as Leicester,Burnley,Wolves and Bournemouth have all eclipsed the blues and pushed them further down the pecking order and they simply refuse to accept it. When they do it will be too late as the will be playing 46 league games a season and entering the FA Cup in the first round proper.

If they were to get relegated I could easily see them becoming a Leeds or a Sunderland and spending ages outside of the PL. Their whole structure is shit and their fans think they are entitled to success merely because their neighbours are successful.

Off today and watching a documentary on Franco, Scouse historian and Franco  biographer Paul Preston talking about his rise through the military ranks.

” He was the Jurgen Klopp of the military, he’s a lucky manager, to be good in football you have to be lucky “

Guess who Mr Preston supports.

Preston was born in 1946 in Liverpool. Preston said in an interview that he has sympathy for the Second Spanish Republic: "I came from a fairly left-wing family. You could not really be from working-class Liverpool and not be left-wing. Emotionally, in my feeling for the Republic I think there is an element of indignation about the Republic's defeat, solidarity with the losing side. Maybe that's why I support Everton, although Everton wasn't the losing side in my day."[2]

Not sure why they shoehorn being a blue into  every possible situation like it is a badge of honour , rather than something that should only be whispered to The Samaritans

Or Evertonians Anonymous

"Hi, my names Geoff and I'm an evertonian"

"Yeah Geoff we got that from the z cars ring tone, blue Santa hat and you spent 5 minutes unstacking those red chairs to get to the grey one."

Weening yourself off Kopites(Kopitis)

5 Step Programme

1 Accept you have an issue with Liverpool Football Club and it’s supporters.

2 Speak to your family, friends and workmates and ask them how your Kopitis affects them. Apologise if necessary.

3 Seek out Liverpool fans and ask them to help you adapt to life without Bitter. Confront your demons so to speak.

4 Take things slowly, you may lapse back into the odd ‘ murderer ‘ scream, only to be expected, it will pass given time.

5 Once bile feelings have passed stay well clear of things that trigger old tendencies, Goodison, The Brick, Rhyl Sun Centre, Llandudno etc.

Good luck on your journey.
