I’ve just seen a video of Jurgen answering questions from boys from the academy ( think it was under 8’s) One asked if both keepers were injured who would you put in goal. I immediately thought Milner - and that was his answer! He also said he’s probably played Milly in every position except goalie!

Fantastic news. He’s invaluable around the squad as a pro, and if we’re leading in a hectic match bringing him on even for the last 10 minutes is extremely useful when we need to calm our nipples a bit.

Happy with this. On the pitch I don't see him as much more than a back-up option to be used sparingly, but off the pitch he's a really positive influence and that has helped Klopp drum home his coaching ethos much more effectively. Footballers will always have a bit of ego due to their competitive nature, but we have amassed a collection of players where that sort of thing is minimal to non-existent, and much of that is down to the influence of players like Big Game James and Hendo.

There's a decent farm shop/cafe near Southport/Formby hospital facing a garden centre. They make lovely breakfasts too.
