Owen slowly learning...

If anyone has read OWens Autobiography, it spells out what is important to him.. for someone who couldn't give a toss about England, (I'd rather our lads got a summers rest and be back fresh for a tilt at the title rather than pissing about in Germany)... Owen's book is 75% England and 25% Liverpool... I didn't even bother finishing it... Still have him back at Liverpool next season though as he'll always score goals, but his priority is England and then club second... He even spelt it out why his name was never the first to be sung by the Kop.... Whereas Robbie made his name with Liverpool, Owen made his name with England.. Robbie will always be remembered for the goals he scored in a Liverpool shirt, Owen will be remembered for "That" goal against Argentina in France '98........

and not 2 at cardiff in 2001? or the 2 at roma, or the coutless other times he scored special goals for us? some people don't remember because they don't want to.

i think this he only loves england is all shite. the press see england as owens, so that's how he is portayed. i think he's just a professional who wants to do it all. he has been managed well (till stephens sold out to SFX), so he knows how to appeal to the widest possible audiance. if his book is 75% england, perhaps that's because he wants to sell it to more than LFC fans? you can't blame him for that.
