We are a fucking disgrace.

We just have owners who want to do things on the cheap as much as possible.  Given Klopps comments in the press conference on Friday I think it was already known our bid was a token gesture and we knew the player was set on a move to Chelsea.  We just did Brighton a favour in getting them an extra £10-20m and bringing the saga to a conclusion.

The club is finished at the elite level under FSG, Klopp has managed to work wonders with the sell to buy policy but thats over now, it requires real investment to keep up and they don't have the stomach for it.

I don't think we can fault the club for the actual contents of the attempt, meaning the deal we sent to Brighton. It looks like we sent the absolute kitchen sink, but the fact we even attempted this will live long in the memory of dumb stuff the club have done.

It was such a crazy move that clearly had so little chance of working that it seemed unthinkable we'd even give it a shot. Just pure desparation.

Whats this shit of directors wanting to take credit for sealing a deal? Spending more money on a player than anyone else has is not some sort of achievement. Their negotiations probably cost them the guts of £30m, they could have another huge French lad for that price. Hope he's nothing but trouble.

Delete the thread, its embarrassing!

I’m right here - the whole episode has been embarrassing. Used as a stalking horse and we sat proudly atop it for days - played like a bunch of cunts.

What was the point? So the avaricious owners can fob-off the support with the ‘we tried’ line.  And I do believe Henry is that manipulative.

Season already underway and we have a seriously deficient squad. Didn’t we used to exist to win silverware?

FSG have turned us into a joke in the current football environment (which is so corrupt it makes you question the point). Isn’t it time they faced some serious pressure to put-up or sell-up?

Well we know we have at least 111m to spend.

Just a shade under 3 weeks to get IMO at a bare minimum a DM and a centre half.

A big, pivotal 3 weeks for our football club coming up.....

Good one. We’ll bring in one player max in the 35-50 million bracket, with all kinds of shite about ‘the next transfer window…’ That’s the only way it goes with FSG.

Least they might leave Lavia and we can spunk our cash in a teen with potential - run like an amateur boys-club since Edwards left.

What the fuck do players get from being tied down to 8 year contracts. Fair enough if you’re John Flanagan playing for Liverpool you probably wouldn’t mind a 8 year contract but these mercenary cunts signing for Chelsea already have one eye on their next move. Plus they’re singing for a maniac, fuck knows how it will work out.

The length of the contract from their perspective means nothing - Only thing that matters is to them is their wage and maybe if they have a release clause.

Caicedo will agitate for a move to Real Madrid in 3 years tops - and he'll get it.
