I remember going to bed that night, and trying to make a deal with god that I'd be a good kid if he could change everything by the morning.

Arsenal cunts and god the cunt.

It was those cunts at the FA forcing us to play too many games because of the cancelling of games after Hillsborough. Absolute wankers of the highest order and still dodged a lot of the blame for their part in those deaths.

Everyone can say what they want, but Maradona is the best player the world have ever seen or ever will see. Messi and Ronaldo doesn'r even compare. Think about Ronaldo getting butchered every week, you'd have seen him running off the pitch never to be seen again.

On a side note, watched some of the lower league teams in the FA cup this weekend and the throwback to the eighties shit pitches and the fight was awesome. Them days were football, these days you can hardly fart and it's a yellow.

Beat me to it - Maradona = greatest of all time. Could have dropped him into Roy Hodgson’s team and we’d have won the league. Just purchased the recent documentary of him on Amazon Prime. Missed it in the cinema.

Great final that watched it in colour for the 1st time at a neighbour's house

Billy Hughes, who took that corner, lived on our road in Nottingham. him and his wife used to babysit us for a bit.

sadly passed away last year.

    • Of course we should take them. We'd be entitled and to see Stevie get a medal would be fantastic. Brenda being a title winning manager would be hilarious, you'd never hear the end of it.
    • From Bluemoon:
"We just have to accept City's support as we knew it has gone. The passion in the main has evaporated destroyed by the incessant bile and negativity directed at the club and supporter base, apathy now prevails and Soriano and Co have a lot to answer for turning the Etihad into the 'Theatre of Cheese', we have arguably the oldest supporter base in the division and fans have had enough quite obviously, there is little or no fight left sadly."   Err, since when did City have a large support in the first place? Maine Road had 35000 seats and they never bothered expanding it because there never was the demand. City have always had a small fan base compared to the big clubs, or even one city clubs like Newcastle. That's exactly why the Etihad has so many empty seats. Not because fans are staying away for whatever 'moral' reasons, it's because they don't have enough fans to fill the place!  They need to downsize the Etihad to around 40,000 if they want to have a packed stadium for each home game.
    • Ronnie would never go man bun.......
    • Just tell the VAR official to stop using his pencil and rely just on his eyes like football always has been officiated. Replay it no more than three times and if he's sure the attacker was offside then disallow it but if there's any doubt the goal stands.   The search for perfection of decision making is like looking for the Holy Grail and will never be successful so just aim for something which is quick, simple and a decent mprovement on the one-off look the linesman has.
    • How about they only give offside on the final pass or cross and not anywhere else in the build up? We've had 2 goals ruled out in our favour this season.I away at Chelsea and home to wolves, when a player was a tiny bit off in the build up. It's stuff like that that's annoying most fans. Obviously, blatant offsides in the build up would still be flagged by the lino and most sane people could get over the fact that a toe in the build up that was offside didn't really matter.
