Anyway - if handshake did occur between Anton and mongo, would that make life easier for defence attorney? (in court case...after euros..and mongo summer holiday.. and other event mongo has this summer).

You're right over the work thing, its madness how this is all put off but its the stupid justice system in this country, so much weighted in favour of the accused. If the prosecution witnesses were unavailable until July it'd be thrown out, but as its Terry's he gets to have the trial when it suits.
