I'd put the money towards Marko Marin, personally. In fact, there's quite a few players out there (not necessarily in Ramirez's position, I'm talking generally) who will not be in the Champions League next season but might be available.

 

I'd also buy Mattias Suarez, another player we're linked with. That'd give us some great attacking options.

If we sign Clint Dempsey I'll slaughter the innocents. He's got 49 league goals in something like 190 games. Surely we've had enough of buying strikers who don't score? He got 12 league goals last season. Any time previous in England his max league goals was 7. Fucking 7!

 

And let's not forget the fact he's a total fucking twat.

 

He's a midfielder, who has improved his goal tally every season since he signed for Fulham to the point where he is now one of the league's top scorers. He's knows where to position himself in the box when the ball is coming in unlike Henderson and Downing and he'll try things that might not come off, again unlike Downing and Henderson who would rather pass the ball back to midfield or the full back than try something that might get the crowd on their back.

 

Would be a great signing for us, if not a bit expensive for his age.

The issue is not whether their teams have CL next season but whether the other sides interested have. There will be a fair few decent players moving from CL and non CL sides, it's not the situation of the selling side, but the situation of the other suitors that'll probably dictate our buys.

 

I'm surprised you thought we even had an outside shot of Marin.

I noticed he's only played 18 times this season. Which im guessing is down to some bad injuries. If he's been recovering from a big one, then broken down a few times - or simply making his way back by way of mainly sub appearances then its understandable why his stats are shite. Gerrard has played more than him this season, and look how injury ravaged his season has been.

 

Prior to this season he's consistently contributed.
