Not the first time a horse has been electrocuted via an underground cable.

 

It isnt that rare believe it or not, not sure why there would be cables under the paddock though, but I guess they have to run somewhere.

i was told something when i was in uni, that tall, four legged mammals are very succeptable to shocks - four earth points mean the shock often travels through the heart causing arrythmia. Probably why the horses jumped about a bit before dying. Direct AC shock to the heart usually just causes your heart to stop dead, just as a direct DC current (defribillator) can boot it back up again

 

Anyone else ever had a bad electric shock? It makes you scream :O every muscle contracts and when I took a high voltage shock i squealed. feels weird.
