You've got to be shitting me.

He's a good third division player (well apart from when he was at Carlisle where he couldn't hit a barn door with a barn door seeking missile) maybe an average second division player at best.

What about Lee Trundle, is he available in the summer?

I think our finances and modes of communication are so dire that other clubs will always get in before us so it doesn't matter whether or not a player has a fee atttached.

He's a better player than Voronin, withhout a doubt. Whether that makes him good enough is questionable.

didn't we used to sign players from lower league clubs and win titles?

Everyone did, how many teams have won the league in the last 15 with players signed from the 2nd and 3rd division?

Lets see if Peter Whittingham is available from Cardiff: then number 19, here we come.

Beckford, N'Gog, Beckford, N'Gog. Meh.

There is a reason Benfica are enquiring about him.

Where did you hear that?

If Beckford signed for a premier league club he would be about as good as Marlon Harewood and Leroy Lita were in the Premiership. And where are they now? Back to where they belong? Or another example would be Rob Earnshaw.

It was rumoured during the summer. Here is just a quick google search to prove there was at least a rumour. Benfica linked with Beckford

Robbie, Harewood scored 14 league goals in 06/07 season for West Ham. Then also scored 5 for Villa in limited starts. You never mentioned Kevin Doyle funny.

Their terrible comparisons. Beckford is his own man and could do well for a bottom half premier league team.

But not for Liverpool.
