Barry's a good player but not worth that kind of money and it's pointless anyway as any strengthening would be minimal (zero, IMO).

 

Young is the type of player we need to be looking at. He's not world class by any means, but with the right guidance, coaching etc he has the potential to be.

Yes agreed Brownie. We've got the solid midfield players and Gerrard who can do anything but we need that exciting player who can add flair and pace. Young fits that bill but he'd be a helluva price now

how many times do they try and play through Young?

 

hoofing and passing to Young are the only patterns of play. it wont work against good teams

 

We're not much better.

 

Apart from the fact we have the best record of the big four clashes this season, as well as in the champions league in the past four years, you're probably right.
