A couple of things about that great friend and supporter of LFC, Guillem Balague. Did you know that a paperback version of Guillem's great book 'A Season on the Brink' has just been published by Orion. Same as the hardback version issued a year ago except it has two new chapters added at the end updating everything for the season that followed the European Cup win in Istanbul, and of course, it's cheaper! Also if you like good chat about football matters be aware that Guillem now regularly contributes to this new thing called podcasting - it's like radio only downloaded from the internet, so that should suit many members who obviously have access to the web. Just download 'itunes' free then click on podcast, then sport, then football, then 'the game' and there it is. It is organised by The Times newspaper. They have done several shows already and they are there waiting to be listened to.

Ordered it on play.com last week, looking forward to reading it. The girlfriend's away next week and I'm on leave, so I'm planning an Istanbul day.

- the road to the final

- the match

- One Night in May documentary

- Mucho Effes, if I can source it anywhere

Slur Alex would kill for Rafa's Euro Nous. FACT.

he's a writer, that's what he said when he was asking about events that took place in Taksim sq. I think Gulliem would call himself a Journalist.

As you say, neither Guillem nor his agent, just a friend!

Nah... keeping it authentic. I'll buy the Effes off local urchins on the street. There will be no other food or drink available at the Attaturk (my front rooom)

If you want to keep it authentic then ask the guy at bargain booze to double the price as soon as he hears your accent.

I wish Guillem Balague posted on this forum. He needs to be made aware of the madness that manifests on TLW, and post the odd thread so we can all 'basque' in his footballing wisdom.

Someone start a petition now, i'm sure all he does with his afternoons is sit off scratching his ballbag while watching espanyol dvd's.

Nice pun but, of course, he is a Catalan from Barcelona.
