  1. Nice to see our owners today doing their bit for the families of the 96, tremendous owners they are.
  2. Do us a favour the lad is trying to make a fair point so accept it and discuss it, can't stand people who jump on peoples backs. If theres an issue with the post try and debate it rather then jump on his back.
  3. Rodgers is scared of going for big names by the looks of it
  4. So you really want to manage in Spain one day? So does that mean your not committed to the club?
  5. Come on, the transfer committee thing is crap, and those so called well paid guys really aren't turning over gems now are they. Quote me on this but this will be Brendan's biggest failure, hope am wrong.
  6. Is it just me who is a bit sceptical about Brendan in the transfer market? Whether its him or our so called transfer committee, i feel there is something seriously lacking. For example you look at the likes of West Ham and their Sakho and he's banging the goals in regularly and it's not just him there's other players in the prem that are setting the league on fire, you only have to look at Southampton and how their new players are settling in, you've got to question why? Why are we failing to get some gems in? Coupled with that you have to look at our failings, so far only Sturridge is the only one to do anything and Coutinho is hit and miss, but i really do think we have failed miserably and spent big money.. Granted it's early days, but you look at the likes of our Sakho and Markovic, who have paid big money and i just don't see any bit of quality in them at all. This is Brendans 3rd season now and to say Sturridge is the only fine product is pretty damming on our current transfer regime. Yes last season we were the bollocks but we were the bollocks with mostly players that Brendan didn't buy. I've highlighted a list of the 25 players Brendan has signed and the results aren't the best to be honest. 7. Isn't that James Ryan ment to be shit hot to.
  8. Just taken this from another forum, i've been saying this for a long time now and i can't agree more with the below. "Football is a simple game based on the giving and taking of passes, of controlling the ball and of making yourself available to receive a pass. It is terribly simple." – Bill Shankly. Having been and watched Arsenal tonight and Saturday we can't hide from the fact that they played bloody awsome football and why because they pass and move, nothing is in the air. Even Man Utd the way they play is simple, pass and move, its good to watch and its the way to do it. We rely to much on the ball up in the air and because of it we lose possesion too easily. We can pass and move, remember the Villa game earlier on in the season, the way we passed and moved was fantastic, even their players made commented on how good we were. We have the players to do it so why can't we do it all the time? Some players in our team do too much, instead of doing the simple thing they try and take on the world. Crouch, Pennant, Garcia, Bellamy, are extremely guilty of it. Pass and move is what makes football and it needs to return to our club, its been missing for too long, we are ment to be the club who are historically known for it, lets get it back. RPAM (Reclaim Pass And Move) thats what I say.
  9. Just thinking of accomodation, and looking for a good decent 4 star hotel. I've just booked the flights below anyway Tues 20nd feb Liverpool to Geneva leaving at 07:05am (Gonna spend a few hours in Geneva i think) Geneva to Barcelona leaving at 15:50pm then ding dang do in barca On the way home on Thursday 22nd Feb its Barcelona to Geneva leaving at 18:00hrs Geneva to Liverpool at 21:55hrs All this for £180 which i suppose isn't bad.
  10. I was just about to post the same it was played so early tonight, the players were still warming up when they put it on. Were has the traditional playing of our song gone when the players enter the pitch? Shankly wanted that played as the players entered the field to get our fans and players going and to put the fear of God into the opposition. Sort this out George.
  11. I don't like Pardew, he is a poser.......
  12. That thing about Gerrard in Spain was a con, the lad was found guilty in crown court for trying to blackmail Gerrard, he had no evidence whatsoever he just wanted money, thats why the lad is serving time and rightly so. I got that from my mate who was dealing with it from Copy Lane CID. Also the reason it was never publically released in the papers was because it was a con and the judge ruled it could'nt and didn't have to, to protect Gerrard. It was a blue nose who did it anyway.

  14. Internationals should not exist, fingers crossed for ya Dirk.
  15. It would be fantastic to have a ground like Boca, but the sad thing is is that 'thick arse Parry' has already decided on the plans for the stadium, and yeah those plans put forward mean that the ground will never have an atmosphere and will never ever be able to be expanded as a result of the ground that Parry wants. The main thing is and the point I have been trying to get across on RAWK is that we will lose the atmosphere due to the design. The Boca design is superb and is quite similar to the millenium stadium. Parry should be involving us fans in the stadium, as at the end of the day it is our home.
  16. Big Sam Al was ment to have been at both games that is why the paps were there both times, but he didn't attend either.
  17. My claim to fame was about 8+ years ago now at the time i was about 16/17years old, when me and me mate were going to a wedding reception in his mums car, on the way we called into a garage for petrol, it used to be called the Burmah at the junction of Southport Road/Liverpool Road in Maghull/Lydiate. Anyway as we pulled in I was transfixed on some brand new BMW M3 the registration was something like P10 DSB or something like that, anyway me mates ma had paid the petty and was getting back in the car and said, "you should of seen the lad in there he had the greatest crocodile shoes you have ever seen". Me and me mate looked to our left and of all the people we would of expected not to see was David Beckham in Maghull of all places, even more ironic was that earlier that day Man Utd had beaten us 1 0 at OT and he had scored the goal, so I wound down the window and said to him "why did you score aganst us"? to which he replied "sorry mate", at the time I just thought ok sound, but he turned out to be a cunt not long afterwards. I learned later that he was apparently knocking a slice off some bird in Ormskirk and he was actually living there for a bit. On a different note my mum's cousin's daughter used to be lightning in Gladiators.
  18. Does anybody know what shinnies Carra wears, they say something like "I Love Calcio", he was wearing them against PSV. See link for pic Carras shinnies
  19. We need a 70,000 seater stadium 60,000 is just not good enough for a club of our size. I have found an interview on the .tv website with Rick Parry who explains the reasons behind us only getting a 60,000 seater stadium as opposed to a 70,000 seater. In my opinion what he has had to say is utter crap, apparently with the design we will never ever be able to increase the capacity. ITS TIME TO STOP THE CRAP PARRY AND ITS TIME TO ASK THE FANS WHAT WE WANT, THE DESIGN IS ATROCIOUS. Some people will ask: Why 60,000 seats? Why not 70,000 seats? Going back to the very early days, we were thinking about 70,000 seats but what we had to look at was the economics and how we could make that work. Our starting point in terms of any new stadium was that it has to pay for itself and it has to be able to generate more funding. Had we gone ahead with a 70,000 stadium, the ground itself would cost something like #130m to build which you would then have to look at the transport implications of bringing another 10,000 fans into the area. Coming back down to 60,000 is not something that I'd call a compromise because we're proud of what we've achieved. But it does enable us to increase capacity significantly whilst still being a sound business case. OK, it's not as big as Old Trafford but that was never our starting point. Our starting point was what works for us and what's right for us. Nobody knows what the demand will be for tickets in 10 years or 20 years time but we think what we're doing is right. We've gone back and looked at trends in terms of attendances over the decades at Anfield and we think 60,000 will be big enough for this club. There is no historic case really that says there is an absolute justification for building a 70,000-seater stadium. If you look back through the 60s and 70s and track our attendances, they were never at the level of 70,000 every other week. If we achieve success on the pitch, we'll fill it. If we don't, we won't. Having said that, it's never been part of our philosophy to plan for mediocrity. If you plan for mediocrity, you'll achieve it. Could the capacity be increased at a later date? No, because of both where we are building it and the nature of the design. The full interview with Rick Parry here; http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/archivedirs/news/2003/oct/8/N142173031008-1130.htm
