He is annoying as fuck but we nearly won the lot with him playing a significant part in that so that last line is clearly nonsense.

He started less than half of our league games 17/38

 

Did not play a minute of our league cup win - including breaking down in the warm up for final. All the absences he was ill or injured for, not just left out.

 

Was injured for 3 of our 6 european cup group games and only featured for 113 mins total in other 3 - and was unfit in the final even though he played.

 

He started 2 games in fa cup - came on as sub in 2 and was injured for 2.

 

I wouldn't call it significant - he missed a lot a of that season - again.

You think he's a waste of space, I get it but no point in diminishing his role that season. He played enough games to have played a decent role and the games he did play he was class.
